Here's the first ever 100% digital drawing I've ever made. It was a fun experiment but I think I still prefer using a pen and brush.

This was made as a submission to the blog, Covered. It showcases artists reinterpreting old comic book covers.

I used a digital coloring program and it was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life but I think it was a good learning experience.

The work was, of course, rejected.

Pizza Bill

These are the first two pages of a book I've been working on. I pitched it to publishers to no avail but still work on it when I have the time. By the time it's finished, print comics will probably no longer exist. This is the first time I've looked at these pages in a while. I can see now why publishers passed on it.

I saw someone wearing a shirt at the mall the other day that I thought displayed this image. As I got closer, I realized I was wrong. It turns out it was some birds or something and had a stupid slogan on it, "make it rain". I have no idea what it was trying to convey. Anyway, I turned this image into the drawing below:

In hindsight, I think the clouds may be superfluous (and childish as well).

I drew this so I could try out some new ink and a couple of new brushes. I intended it to be a learning experience. I think the only thing that I learned is that sable brushes are expensive for a reason.

Here's a comic that I hope will be a regular feature on this blog: a character named, Pizza Bill. I suppose it's pretty self explanatory. The first page is the very first drawing I made of Bill and I intended to stop there. Unfortunately for me and you, I didn't. There should be more pages of Pizza Bill's comic adventures soon.

This is one of two pen and ink drawings I submitted to a museum for a contest. Obviously, it was rejected. This was primarily inspired by the old Heavy Metal comics my dad used to read and I would read them while my parents were asleep.
