Covered

This was made as a submission to the blog, Covered.   It showcases artists reinterpreting old comic book covers.

I used a digital coloring program and it was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life but I think it was a good learning experience.

The work was, of course, rejected.

Pizza Bill

The latest page in the Pizza Bill saga.  The last page looks like he's saluting but it's intended to be a faraway glance. 

These are the first two pages of a book I've been working on.  I pitched it to publishers to no avail but still work on it when I have the time. By the time it's finished, print comics will probably no longer exist.  This is the first time I've looked at these pages in a while.  I can see now why publishers passed on it.

 

I saw someone wearing a shirt at the mall the other day that I thought displayed this image.  As I got closer, I realized I was wrong.  It turns out it was some birds or something and had a stupid slogan on it, "make it rain".  I have no idea what it was trying to convey.  Anyway, I turned this image into the drawing below:

In hindsight, I think the clouds may be superfluous (and childish as well).
